The Ministries of Our Church
 

Our ministries are the life blood of the church.  You will want to become involved where your spiritual gifts can be utilized, where your needs can be fulfilled and where you can share what God has done in your life, whether it is joining in community service or becoming part of the youth group. You will have access to free personal Bible studies and group Bible studies; you will  find a  place to serve and a place to grow as a disciple of Jesus Christ. You will be taught what the Scriptures teach about Christian Discipleship following the strategy outlined below.

• Disciples of Jesus Christ help others create a new identity in Christ; renew their minds to think like Jesus; and empower a lifelong relationship of love, trust, and obedience to glorify God (Prov. 3:5-6; Matt. 22:37; 28:20; Rom. 12:2; 2 Cor. 5:17; Eph. 4:23; Col. 3:2).

• Our ministry team carries out the important role of equipping disciples to grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus and of equipping themselves to serve Him.

This strategy includes steps for nurturing new members as well as ongoing nurturing for current members. The Southwest members understand that our partnership with God is initiated by Him and it is a lifelong journey of obedience to Christ.
